Cop ditches socks and shoes to rescue terrified dog hidden in dark tunnel!

A tiny dog ran under the passage of the waterway after being frightened by a car and stuck in a dark tunnel. She was too afraid to move until a policeman came to her rescue.

Officer Joe Brazil did not even hesitate when it came to rescuing a poor dog in need.

Last May 02, 2016, Peggy Edwards shared her story on Facebook and it went viral. The story was honest and warmed our hearts.

Her story was about an incredibly kind Rhode Island police officer Woonsocket named Joe. It started when a cute but nervous little Yorkshire Terrier got scared of a car. And the very first thing the dog did was escape to cover inside a tunnel.

“April 30th, a touch dog was running free and was frightened by a passing car. It saw a tunnel that a close-by brook flows through. She was stuck about 20-25 ft. in and was clinging to the side,”   Peggy started telling her story on Facebook.

Instincts told her she needed to save a lot of the little dog, but she hesitated. She was worried she might scare the poor dog and he would go deeper into the tunnel.

She immediately called Woonsocket police to call for help and she or he was not disappointed.

After a few minutes, Officer Joe Brazil appeared and was very willing to help.

Peggy then explained what had happened and without hesitation the brave policeman helped.

“He went in without hesitation and came out with a really wet, scared Canis Minor . Great guy, Lucky dog. We are very happy he was ready to save the small gal,” Peggy continued.

A kind policeman took off his shoes and socks and entered the tunnel to save the little dog!

WJAR NBC10 was ready to contact a police officer and accordingly:

“As I got closer, I could see Cece just clinging to the side and just shaking,” Brazil said. “The puppy was very, very scared.”

Seeing how frightened she was, the policeman took special care not to frighten the small dog and not to go even deeper into the tunnel.

What he did next was amazing!

“It just appeared like she was almost saying many thanks . Like she knew i used to be there to assist ,” Brazil said in his interview with WJAR NBC10.

As you will see in the photo, the cute dog looks so full of love and gratitude to the handsome cop who saved her.

It seems that this dog was not a stray in any case. She had a loving family. According to another interview for WJAR NBC10, the name of this cute dog was Cece.

Michelle Perez, the owner of Cece, was so relieved that her dog was found. according to her story, her mother-in-law gave her a beautiful puppy, but unfortunately, the next day she ran away!

“She’s only 5 months old. I wasn’t ready to sleep,” Perez said in her interview “All I kept doing was just driving around, calling her.”

Thanks to Peggy Edwards and therefore beloved police officer Joe Brazil, Cece is rescued from a terrifying tunnel and reunited with her owner. We are all so happy that Cece was saved and that she returned home to her owner!
