The man shared footage of his dog meeting a polar bear !

The photographer was filming his sled dogs in the far north as large polar bears approached the team from the side of the bay.

The man decided to step back and record the further reaction of the animals, but he instantly noticed that the bear was not at all hostile.

The man knows the dog breeds well – he knew that sled dogs in the north were fearless and rarely  back down when they met large animals.

In this case, it was a bigger drawback: the dog could have escaped, but stood still waiting for the bear.

And the bear, to the photographer’s surprise, didn’t act like a predator at all. The bear approached the dog and lay on its side as if inviting him to play!

For the next 10 minutes, the man filmed everything with a camera.

The dog and the big polar bear played like good old friends.

The polar bear stayed calm the whole time. At some point he put his paw on the dog’s head, the difference in size becoming even more apparent.

Eventually the polar bears simply headed back toward the bay. The photographer took the dogs and also ran home.
