92-Year-Old Retired Veterinarian Has Been Making “Wheelchairs” For Paralyzed Animals For Over 60 Years!

Lincoln Parkes a 92- year-old pensioner is doing an admiring thing for our little friends. Dr. Parkes has decided for over 60 years of his life to build wheelchairs for paralyzed animals. He lives in a small white warehouse, in a Chesapeake Bay town.Nothing stopped him from doing what he loves, he opened up a workshop two blocks from his house and began to give all his attention to help animals.

Everything started when Parkes met a man whose dog had been hit by a car and left him with two no longer functional back legs. Therefore he decided to give this hopeless dog a chance and made a K-9 cart for the little furry guy.

In the early 1960’s he made the decision to continue helping and opened a shop with wheelchairs for dogs who weren’t able to walk. From that time on Parkes spends his days building and designing special carts for animals in need. There is nothing to compare with the happiness he feels when he sees a pup light up with joy after being fitted with his wheelchairs!

Even though it may take days for one single order, Parkes doesn’t give up !

He is always working for the best results possible and for better versions of wheelchair that he thinks will sell well.

Lincoln’s dedication is truly inspiring. He is an incredible man and we are thankful for his compassion!
