One day when eleven-year-old goatherd Hamdü Sena Bilgin and her dog Tomi were leading a plot of sheep through the mountainous terrain of a village outside the Turkish city of Riza, the duo ran into a pregnant goat stuck in the snow!
Fearing the goat would be too weak to survive after giving birth, she had a great concept to save the mother and her newborn…
Bilgin waited for the goat to give birth before returning with two backpacks: one for himself and the other for her dog.
Using backpacks, Bilgin and her dog took the goat and her baby up the mountain, to their house!!
After the story went viral, Bilgin said , “The snow was so thick, I was completely exhausted. But it was worth it. “
