A Hell Bull named Mercy was found about four years ago abandoned in Echo Lake, Texas. Mercy was also paralyzed and for many days she was laying on a corner covered by her own urine and feces. People walked/drove by but nobody seemed to bother.
The founder of “Tao Animal Rescue”, Judy Obregon found poor Mercy. When she went near her, the weak pup wagged her tail to give a sign to Judy that she was still alive. Mercy was extremely scared but still wanted to be save. Judy took her straight away to the vet. She was shocked when a terrified Mercy extended her paw to her rescuer and begged her to carry it.
After the vet examined Mercy it was clear to him that she wan not hit by a car but she had several old and new fractures caused by prolonged abuse. They immediately put her on a recovery plan but for her Mercy the first days weren’t easy at all. She could hardly eat or perform bowel movements.
Mercy had a surgery and a long treatment, but at the end it was worth it because she finally started walking on her own!
When Judy rescued her she gifted Mercy a pink rabbit plush toy. That was her favourite thing to play while she was doing her treatments. She still has the toy even after four years this will always be a reminder for her to never give up and have faith. We wish Mercy the best!
