Rescuers Chase After German Shepherd All Day To Save Him From The Cold
|Stray Rescue of St. Louis has done an amazing job these past days, trying to rescue stray dogs because the freezing temperatures , which have swept through the American city. Among the stray dogs was also an abandoned German shepherd which they were spending hours and hours trying to catch him.

Sadly the rescue team recently lost a mama dog and her pup to the cold after finding them too late. They didn’t want to let that happen again. They did anything the could to find the german shepherd.

“We tried to rescue this very BIG and really SCARED dog ALL DAY yesterday,” Stray Rescue of St. Louis wrote on Instagram. “He came on the brink of us but cars scared him away and therefore the leash spooked him even quite the cars.”

Unfortunately the team wasn’t able to catch him and with night approaching they decided it would be better to leave and start again the next day in the morning. They said that they had a sleepless night as they worried a lot about the dog. In the morning they thought that he might be hungry so it would be easier to catch him. They set a trap with food and little they know, it worked. The crew was finally relieved. They took the dog to the shelter, gave him food, kept him warm and named him Iceberg after they shared a picture of him.

Iceberg is very happy and seems that he had a very good night after a long time! Applause to this awesome team for not giving up!
