Little Lucky suffers from a facial deformity, sadly people refuse to look deeper than his facial disfigurement for his heart of gold. He was born in a puppy mill and then surrendered to a shelter. It was hard to find him a home.
Lucky was often adopted but after some time his foster families would abandon him. Noone actually treated him properly. His former owners tied him on a tree because he wouldn’t get along with their cats. He was left there on the outside totally neglected with no proper place to sleep or food. When the family decided to move the didn’t want to take him with, so they left him at a local shelter.
Lucky was adopted again but it wasn’t long before that family gave up on him too. Even though his name is “Lucky” the poor dog didn’t have luck in his life at all..
Then, a social media post changed everything! A shelter volunteer took Lucky to the groomer. The volunteer posted pics of a groomed, handsome Lucky and those pics were seen by the perfect person, a friend of the volunteer, named Jamie Hult. She wanted to meet Lucky right away! Better yet, she wanted to adopt Lucky right away!
“It just happened to be somebody in my dog rescue world, so right away I contacted him and said ‘I want that dog. I don’t even want to foster it, I wanna take that dog,” Jamie told iHeartdogs.
Unfortunately Lucky was in a very bad condition and needed urgently special treatments. He had heartworms and fleas. He was also malnourished. Jamie with no second thoughts decided to adopt him and pay any vet bills that would be needed. He had a long road ahead of him but with proper medical intervention, he made a full recovery!
He made a new start so Jamie named him Beaux Tox. “The reason I named him Beaux Tox is because clearly he looks like he needs botox, and that’s okay. We appreciate beauty in all forms. And the dog bills cost me a fortune which is the reason I don’t have botox!”
Jamie and Beaux Tox have had an amazing year together and look forward for the years coming. He is finally able to enjoy his life with love and appriciation. No more nights of neglect and sadness! Beaux is now happier than ever!
