WE ALL HAVE OWN SUPERHEROES. FOR THIS SOLDIER, IT WAS THESE THREE DOGS

A once Afghanistan soldier, Chris Duke, met three stray dogs-Sasha, Target & Rufus when he was serving his country. The three dogs turned out to be more than some friendly pups. They ended up lifesavers.

One evening, a terrorist tried to enter Sergeant Duke’s barracks. The three dogs immediately started barking loudly on the intruder and attack him. Things got a bad turn when the terrorist blew himself up and the three dogs ended up badly injured. Yet the dogs saved at least 50 soldiers from certain death. Sadly Sasha was gravely wounded and had to be put down but Target and Rufus were nursed back to wellbeing.

After Duke returned home, it was impossible for him to stop thinking that these three pups literally saved his life. He took the decision to write a letter to a veteran’s assistance group named “Hope For The Warriors” in which he asked for help in bringing the dogs to the USA.

The organization managed to raise over  $21,000 which led to bringing successfuly Target and Rufus in America. Their reunion is the most heartmelting thing!
