Overjoyed Pitbull Can’t Stop Wagging Her Tail After Finally Finding A Forever Home

Some time ago a little pooch was brought in Douglas County Animal Shelter. Unlike the other dogs who are sad coming in the shelter, Matilda couldn’t stop showing her excitment when she first came in. The little girl was wagging her tail like crazy and had a constant smile on her face!

The shelter staff was surprised by Matilda’s enthusiasm. Although she’s been living a few months as a stray, she is still a friendly and loving dog. When the shelter staff found Matilda, she was full of worms and her skin condition was terrible.  Despite all of that, the Matilda’s tail never stopped wagging.

Satina Sanders, the shelter’s worker, was so impressed by Matilda’s bright soul. Satina said that Matilda is by far one of the most kind hearted animals she had ever met. She decided to share Matilda’s  “happy tail wags” videos on her Facebook page. After Sanders shared the video, the New York-based rescue group, Pibbles & More, contacted Sanders. When Teresa Bowles-Chiofalo, one of the coordinators at the rescue group, didn’t want to leave the cute pit bull in the shelter. So, she found a foster home for Matilda.

When Teresa went to pick up the tiny pit bull, Matilda wouldn’t stop showing her the happiness she felt. She is literally the definition of joy!

Kerri Rich offered her home to foster the little pup until she could find her a forever home. But, she didn’t think that she would fall in love with Matilda.

Kerri and Matilda are so happy to be with each other. However, when Kerri tried to put a collar on the dog, Matilda wasn’t happy at all. She even stopped wagging her tiny tail. This was the first time the pit bull’s tail stopped wagging.

Matilda’s sikn wasn’t healing properly so Kerri thought that it might would be better if he removes the colar. When he removed her the colar,Matilda started wagging her tail again!

Thanks to these amazing shelters and organizations, Matilda has found a loving home and she won’t spend another day exposed on the streets! We wish the all the best!
