Dog Walker Comes Across “Gentle” Pit Bull Tied To A Tree With A Note Attached !
|Dog walker Eric Maus was walking through Prospect Park with several clients, Goud and Lily, when he came across the saddest scene. It was a Pit Bull tied to a tree with a note attached.

“Take me home. I’m a great dog. I’m 7 years old. Don’t let my size scare you. I’m sweet.”
Eric approached with two more dogs, and the gentle giant didn’t move an inch. She was very kind and very loving.

The dog walker knew he couldn’t leave her, but he wasn’t sure what to do. Prospect Park was not a good place for a dog to be alone, but here it was Mamas.
So Eric took to Facebook and posted a photo of Mamas on the neighborhood page asking for advice. And within just a few minutes the answers started arriving! One good Samaritan asked them to find themselves next to a tree, he even arranged for a vehicle to pick them up outside the park and drive them to Sean Casey Animal Rescue. The local shelter had a kennel for Mamas.

They walked out of the park together, but Mamas had to take it slowly. Due to its size and possible bladder infection, the dog was unable to walk at a normal pace. Then she was loaded to go to the rescue and there her hesitation completely disappeared!
Mamas was so ready to move on to a new chapter in life and jumped right out of the car to proceed into the shelter! It’s as if she knew she was finally safe.

Mamas needs to stay through the required stray hold and receive a clean bill of health, but then she’ll be put up for adoption to get her forever home!

Meanwhile, Mamas is happy to be outside the park and surrounded by people who love and care for her. Eric knows who will adopt this cute little girl, he will be very happy to have her. 🙂
