Man Ties Dog To Neighbor’s Tree In The Middle Of The Night With Note And Then Leaves Town

Dogs are some of the most loyal animals, if not the most loyal. It sad to know that a dog would never abandon his owner, but a human would indeed abandon his dog. Unfortunately due to the pandemic the number of the abandonmet is increasing.

Shelters around the country saw an increase in surrenders and intakes, but thankfully people stepped up to help foster. However, some shelters are still overwhelmed with abandoned pets due to people losing their jobs or out of fear. Dogs and cats are proven to reduce stress, so the last thing people should do is leave them.

In Orlando, Florida, a man decided to abandon his dog in the middle of the night by tying him on a tree and just leave a note on the road. The next day some neighboors spotte the sweet PitBull and the note which said:“I am leaving to California to be with my mother and brother during this pandemic. Please take care of Lincoln or find him a good home. I trust you with my baby. I’m sorry.”

The neighbor was unable to keep the sweet boy, so she reached out to The Pittie Party of Central Florida (TPPCF). Mayson Jones, a volunteer at the rescue, picked up Lincoln and brought him back to her house.

In an attempt to distract the dog from looking for his owner, she played fetch with him in her backyard. Lincoln had a blast and sported the biggest smile. Due to the situation, the rescue needed someone to foster Lincoln until they figured out when they could legally adopt him out.

Melanie Anderson is willing to foster the sweet pup till he is able to find a forever home. Untill then he can enjoy his days  relaxing in the sun on a boat with his foster family.

TPPCF is just one of the animal rescues in Florida that are in desperate need of fosters and adopters. “We are in crisis mode with the amount of people who have abandoned their dogs because of unemployment and the uncertainty of what is around the corner. Shelters are being forced to euthanize dogs at a devastating rate. Individuals are abandoning their pets on the streets, after many shelters are denying intakes. WE ARE COMMITTED TO SAVING AS MANY OF THESE DOGS AS PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP,” they posted on Facebook.

The rescue is willing to support the foster famillies by covering all the expenses they will have for the dog.  The rescue wrote, “There is no way we would ever be able to do what we do without the dedication and commitment from foster families. These individuals are the true heroes in rescue!”
