Girl Rescues Dying Dog And Then He Let’s Her Know It’s Time To Say ‘Goodbye’

Even though Hippo the stray dog was too sick to save, kind hearted Sophiane was willing to do everything and give him some beautiful last moments before leaving this world.

“Even if it was just for a day,” Sophiane, the 19-year-old founder of Cayleb’s Kindred Senior Dog Resue told TODAY, Hippo was going to have the best last day ever.

After five day of waiting Sophia manage to take Hippo from the shelter, the poor dog was so sensitive on touches, it would hurt him a lot every time she would lay her hand on him. She didn’t knew if Hippo would be able to enjoy anything as he was in so much pain.

However everything changed when Sophiane noticed that Hippo was giving her a sign -that he wants to feel love and happy his last days- by waaging his tail.

So, Sophiane brought Hippo to Starbucks and bought him a Puppuccino, the famous chain’s secret menu item that dogs go wild for, which is simply a cup crammed with delicious topping .

She also brought him to a big dog park, and Hippo was enjoying it so much!

The old dog, suffering yet hopeful, had something he had to inform his new best friend… He was able to go. He was so happy he need to spend that point with Sophiane but he was tired and in pain and it had been time to mention goodbye.

Sophiane then gave him his last gift… a vet came home and gave Hippo his last meal a  roasted chicken with sedatives inside. She was every moment by his side till the pup would close his eyes and be relieved from his pain.

While this story is gloomy in numerous ways, it’s also quite uplifting. A dying dog who would have only known suffering need to spend the remainder of his life, although short, feeling loved and wanted thanks too this woman with a heart from gold.
