Young Boy Walks 2-Miles Alone To Save A Dying Puppy

To save his puppy, a 13-year-old South African from Delft, one of Cape Town’s poorest communities, walked two miles alone.

In response to his dog stopping eating and developing bloody diarrhea, he stepped up and made his way outside to get help.

He walked 2 miles into town to an animal rescue that helps care for local dogs and cats. A worker from the rescue organization called Stöckigt said:

“She was very thin and the boy told us he didn’t have enough money for food for her. We told him we would do our best to save her life, and find her a new loving home that can take care of her. We thanked him for bringing her to us for help.”

It turned out that the pooch, called Nanuk, was suffering from a lethal illness called parvovirus, and she wouldn’t have survived without treatment!

The shelter’s foster kittens visited Nanuk often to cheer her up.

“I think it is a combination of the kittens, having one of us by her side the whole time giving her love and encouragement…” Stöckigt said. The rescuers are on the look for a loving forever home for Nanuk.

In case Nanuk wasn’t going to eat, the possibility to die was very high.

Thank god this kind hearted boy appeared in her life!

Little Nanuk is now searching for her forever home!
