Sweet pit bull helps tiny blind friend to explore the world and never leaves his side

A 12-year-old dachshund and a pit bull have been each other’s loyal friends for four or five years. The blind and old dog relied on his friend as his guide, since he had been guiding him for years.

Despite the fact that their owner lost her home and ended up on the streets, Blue Dozer proved he will never leave his friend’s side.She surrendered her dogs to a local shelter in Richmond, hoping they’d find a warm home there. However, she begged them to keep together since she could not offer to take care of them.

The other volunteers, however, quickly realized why Christie insisted so strongly that the two dogs stay together. Since the senior dachshund was completely blind, his 6-year-old pittie wasn’t just a comfort, but also his “human friend.”More, they all got surprised by how caring and gentle Blue is, when it comes to his helpless friend. Therefore, everyone knew it won’t take too long until someone to show interest in these two lovely dogs.

It wasn’t long before someone came to adopt the dogs, and things were looking up for them.It was clearly agreed that both dogs had to be adopted. But then, something truly awful happened: a few days after the dogs were adopted, the poor OJ was found on the side of the road, all alone. Most likely, he got dumped by his new owners!

The unbreakable pair was ultimately reunited with the help of some kind people, and this time they won’t be separated! Even though, their drama is far from over, one thing is for sure, Blue and OJ share an extraordinary bond!

“We very much appreciate the outpouring of community support,” the shelter wrote in a statement. “The only thing that matters is these sweet dogs get to stay together — and in the end that’s what we have … We will not be doing anything with OJ and Blue Dozer in the next few days other than snuggling them together.”
