Overweight Dog Abandoned Near Field Finally Knows What Love Feels Like

Arbuckle (aka Fatty Arbuckle) was discovered 50 pounds overweight on a field. When his owners relocated, they abandoned him in their yard. Thankfully, A Purposeful Rescue, a Los Angeles-based non-profit, came in to save him.

Because of his stature, the rescuers were taken aback when they got on the scene. He was enormous, and he could hardly walk because his little joints couldn’t support his weight. They took him to the vet, where they learned he had hypothyroidism.

A team of specialists and veterinarians nursed him back to health and documented his recovery on Instagram, where he attracted close to 100,000 followers.

Jane Lynch and her boyfriend fell in love with him and decided to give him a lifelong home. He was overjoyed because he had never had a true family before. Arbuckle has become a well-known influencer as a result of his arduous weight-loss struggle, which has given many others hope and drive.

Arbuckle, who died at the age of nine, has crossed the rainbow bridge. Following his death, the shelter got a remarkable $5000 in donations in one night, all from individuals who admired him and wanted to commemorate his amazing life. Arbuckle, rest in peace!
