After Being Dumped & Left For Dead On Christmas, “Miracle” Dog Is Adopted By Officer Who Saved Her Life

Miracles are rare to come by these days.
But there’s no other way to describe the abandoned puppy that nearly died after being abandoned in a dumpster on Christmas Day.

According to WSBTV, someone heard the tiny dog’s cries for aid and phoned the police. Officers came to find a cold, starving dog wrapped in a rubbish bag and mercilessly thrown like garbage. The dog was transported to an Atlanta animal hospital, but she was in such bad condition that no one knew if she would live.
“She was frozen almost solid and Doc thought three times he was going to have to put her down,” said Penny Jenkins, a manager at Atlanta West Veterinary Hospital, where veterinarians rushed to save the young dog. “But she kept on fighting and so did we,” said Jenkins, whose colleagues decided to call the rescued dog Miracle.

Police are still looking for the heartless individual who abandoned this puppy on Christmas Day, leaving it to freeze to death. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Sergeant Finley of the Villa Rica Police Department at 678-840-1314 or bfinley@villarica.org. (All tips will be kept confidential.)

Even while cops investigate for Miracle’s assailant, things are finally looking good for this wonderful puppy.

The abandoned puppy:

is not only growing stronger by the day, but she has already been adopted by the officer who saved her life.

“Miracle went to her new fur-ever home yesterday with the officer who found her!!!” posted the veterinary team on Facebook.

“She is doing really well, and we will visit her tomorrow for a check-up to ensure that everything in her small body is working properly.”

Thank you for all of your prayers, donations, and notes. She truly is “everyone’s Christmas Miracle!”

Miracle, congratulations! We’re overjoyed that you’ve found the loving home you deserve!
