The last thing Patrick Hennesy was thinking about was getting home and warming up in bed! All of that changed when he saw two frightened puppies who needed to be saved!
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office sent two officers quickly to the scene to help the pit bull pups, who were injured. Luckily, Hennesy did not think twice before stopping his car to help the pups. The ground was covered with blood, where the injured pups were laying.
When the officers approached them, the cute pups rubbed against them and licked at them as if to say thanks. It was clear that they realized that the officers were trying to help them.
The officers tried to keep the puppies warm by hugging them while one called Orange County Animal Services for help and the other applied pressure to the puppy’s wound. They were told to wait until the rescuers arrived. They were then told to call the Orange County Animal Services.
Justice and Liberty, the two puppies, eventually found a home with animal services, which took them into care. The pups have been contented at the shelter, and now await adoption.
