THANKS TO HER KIND RESCUERS, ABUSED SENIOR FINALLY FINDS HER FOREVER HOME AFTER 10 YEARS IN A SHELTER

In 2011, a guy called Ernie Moss witnessed a terrible sight. While walking his dogs, he noticed an item trembling in a ditch. When he drew closer, he saw it was a Pit Bull in bad shape. She looked like she’d been thrashed. Her legs were bound together, and her mouth was bound with electrical tape. Moss tried to let go of the dog while ordering his wife to call for help.

The dog was immediately taken to the Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS). By the time they came, Moss had just broken the shackles, but the dog was practically frozen on the ground. If they hadn’t acted swiftly, she would have perished in misery.

Tatiana, the bulldog, was given the nickname “Tater Tot” or “Taters” by CAHS. Tatiana resided in the shelter for approximately a year and a half, gradually healing from her numerous injuries. His situation turned out to be far worse than anyone had anticipated. “It was clear from the start that being confined and freezing to death was not her main fear,” according to CAHS. “At first sight, it was clear that he had sustained a major head injury.” She was promptly moved to a nearby veterinarian’s clinic for treatment and diagnostic tests.”

Tatiana was sent to the Mackenzie Animal Sanctuary after getting basic medical care, where she was greeted with affection and support. She is still too timid in front of dogs and humans, particularly men. Someone’s trust will take a long time to recover. Despite the fact that Tatiana’s abuser was uncovered, shelter personnel concluded that he had not been sufficiently punished. It does not refute allegations of animal abuse. He was fined $10,000 and sentenced to 43 days in prison rather than the 93 days originally intended. He deserved worse punishment for what he did to this adorable puppy.

Tatiana’s prime years

Tatiana has a tough time finding a home since she is terrified. But, over time, the shelter’s workers earned her confidence. She rapidly became one of the asylum’s favorites. Tatiana was not deemed adoptable or less fearful of the world until her latter years. However, senior bulldogs who must be the lone dog are in short supply. Tatiana lived in the asylum for many years, but it wasn’t enough. Michele, a volunteer, then came forward to assist. He began hosting Tatiana on weekends, but subsequently decided to become her full-time foster family.

The most stubborn rescue canines can be permanently bred by Mackenzie volunteers. Tatiana can now spend her golden years in a loving home after going through everything,” wrote Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary. Tatiana now has a comfortable home to spend her final years after spending ten years at a shelter. And it appears that she is already at ease. After a sad past, she may now experience happiness and love thanks to her wonderful rescuers.
