Little boy waits patiently on dock every morning for his giant stingray buddy to greet him

It’s rather typical (and mainly nice) to see small children form strong, personal ties with animals. Those delightful interactions, on the other hand, are more likely to occur with puppies or cats, and less often with wild animals. As a result, a little youngster developing a particular bond with a massive stingray is not something you’ll see every day.

On top of that, the boy’s strange companion lives in the sea. But it doesn’t stop Joel from interacting with his colossal pal. In reality, the small child waits on the pier every morning for his pal to meet him. In return, the small person offers it some fresh fish!

The strange meeting occurred at Gran Rey, a tiny fishing community with a population of about 4,000 people in the Canary Islands, Spain. A tranquil setting where people nevertheless have a close connection with nature. And, because youngsters spend their days fishing on the steps near the village’s port, the bycatch generally ends up in the sea, drawing huge marine species such as stingrays.

Even still, seeing the young child provide snacks to such a gigantic gentle is a sight to witness. Fortunately, a traveler caught the wonderful incident on camera and published it to YouTube. The video went viral as planned, with around 60 million views so far.

Even though,  watching Joel feeding and petting his unlikely friend is heartwarming, you still need to know those are wild animals and although stingrays are not typically aggressive, one wrong move could be deadly.
