Starved & Deprived Of Touch, Woman Knelt Down As She Hesitates To Come Closer

Violet ended herself alone and terrified at a kill shelter. She was terribly emaciated and terrified. Because of her bad health, she would have most certainly been terminated immediately, writes ilovemydogsomuch.

Thankfully, Whitney, an I Stand With My Pack volunteer, heard about the Shar-Pei and rushed to take her up.

Violet’s first destination after being released from the shelter was the veterinarian’s office. The volunteers were frightened to find out how much she weighed. Violet’s body was naked to the bone. A Shar-Pei should weigh between 40 and 60 pounds, according to the calculations. Violet was just twenty years old. Their hearts went out to the unfortunate puppy. Why would somebody do such a thing to a helpless animal?

Whitney attempted to calm Violet down by petting her. She was aware of every vertebra in her spine. Whitney then knelt, and Violet’s expression reinforced her assumptions. Violet had no concept of love. This was a watershed moment for the adorable girl. Her life was about to alter drastically!

Once in her foster home with Whitney, Violet began to learn what it meant to have frequent meals and a loving mom. Violet discovers what toys are and even has her very own bed. The first time she walked onto it, Whitney exploded with joy.

Violet gained weight during the course of the weeks. She, too, learnt new things. How to play with your dog’s mates and all about happy doggie zoomies! She developed new interests. Everyone was overjoyed to see her blossoming into a happy, healthy pup!
