The missing dog returned home tired but happy with a touching note around his neck and the glory of a hero.

When the 12-year-old family pet went missing for many hours, his owners called the police. However, the family was taken aback when he returned later that evening, wearing a heartfelt message around his neck. Louie, an incredibly intelligent shepherd dog, grew up on his parents’ farm in New Zealand, Marolyn Driver.

Louis was a happy and curious puppy with a lot of energy who enjoyed to run around the farm and investigate the surroundings from an early age. However, as he grew older, his daily schedule altered and he spent more time at home.

That’s why Louis’ owners were quite concerned when he vanished for many hours one day. However, to everyone’s delight, the dog came home later that evening with a weird letter around his neck. He appeared to be battered and filthy.

Someone had upset their pet, the family reasoned. When they read the handwritten message, though, everyone became more relaxed. The message came from their next-door neighbor, Rob, who wrote that the dog performed a truly heroic act by bringing him to his dog Maddy, who was trapped beneath a mound of branches.

Maddie was the name of Rob’s dog. They quickly found out what had happened to them. Maddie vanished the same day, and Rob looked for her everywhere, but to no effect.

When he arrived home, he was greeted by Louis, who growled and motioned Rob to follow him. Rob followed Louis, trusting his instincts, and discovered the lost dog in the bushes. Louie began digging to assist Rob in rescuing his pal.

Thanks to this brave dog, Maddie was saved. The two exhausted dogs quickly ran to a nearby pond, then jumped into the water and began to drink it.

Louis was so tired that day that he didn’t even eat and immediately fell into a deep sleep.
