Soldier Was Hoping To Reunite With The Puppy She Saved, But She Ran Out Of Time

Army Reserve Sergeant Tracy McKithern was deployed in Iraq where she encountered a starving puppy who came to her begging for love. Tracy took the puppy under her wings and named her Erby. Over the next few months, Erby became Tracy’s source of comfort and happiness during tough times, writes ilovemydogsomuch.

Eventually, the pair became inseparable!

Tracy promised Erby she would bring her home when her deployment ended. Tracy contacted “Puppy Rescue Mission” and they organized a fundraiser to raise funds to fly Erby to the United States.

In spite of the generosity of strangers, Tracy had to leave for another deployment just as Erby was preparing to go to her new home.

Tracey returns from her deployment awaiting to be reunited with Erby. Her last encounter with Erby was seven months ago, and Tracy knows that the little puppy would have grown up, but she just hopes he will recognize her and love her again.

Tracy sees Erby as she anxiously walks out of the airport and he spontaneously runs toward her and offers plenty of kisses and cuddles! Tracy is thrilled to see Erby’s reaction, and she returns the love with a big hug.
