EMACIATED RACE HORSE ABANDONED IN DESERT RESCUED BY ANIMAL RESCUE GROUP IN ARIZONA

A horse trainer in Buckeye, Arizona, saved a weak and parched purebred that had been abandoned near Gila Bend. The pony was spotted wandering alone in the desert on Monday. Allison Montano and a Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputy partnered to locate the horse, and they offered her a pail of water, which she looked pleased to receive.

Misian Cory, the owner of Hope Cattle Ranch in Arizona, rushed in to help and says the horse had been roaming alone for six months and had lost 600 pounds.

“We stumbled upon this adorable horse… she had evidently been left to fend for herself when we found her. She seemed relieved and began to drink the water we had brought for her right away.” Allison Montano’s profile on Facebook

The horse was given the name Blessing by the rescue group. Her true name is “Pleasing Dom,” according to a tattoo found beneath her lip and a brand on her side; she was born in 2012.

Blessing was cleaned, had her hooves trimmed, and was inspected by a veterinarian after being loaded onto the trailer and sent to Hope Ranch Arizona.

“She jumped aboard the trailer without hesitation and was swiftly transported to safety.” Her hooves are being trimmed today. They’re in bad shape, and she’s having trouble walking. We’ve contacted the veterinarian, and we’re doing all we can to help her recover. We are seeking for donations because this will be a large expenditure. Anything will be much appreciated. Even kind thoughts and prayers. Blessing is the name we’ve given her. “She is a Blessing,” says the narrator. Cory Misian

Difference between Day 1 and Day 4

Hope Ranch Arizona has never requested for donations and is not a non-profit, but they have taken in three very malnourished horses in the last week and would really appreciate any assistance.

No one knows why this horse was abandoned, but Blessing is expected to make a full recovery. She is amazingly nice and well-behaved!
