PREGNANT STRAY INJURED BY A CAR GETS IGNORED FOR A WEEK

It can be deadly in many cases, but it can also result in horrific and terrible injuries. After being hit by a car, one dog found herself in a terrible predicament.

The canine, called Mia, was suspected to have been hit by a sleepy motorist while wandering along the street. As a result, she suffered a serious leg injury.

The unfortunate dog was unable to walk properly due to a dangling leg. Mia was forced to crawl about for over a week in search of food due to her leg injury – all while pregnant!

Things were not looking well for her in her current situation. Mia wasn’t condemned to spend the rest of her days on the street, thankfully. Someone called for a rescue, and Alina arrived to assist Mia.

She was able to get the dog to safety, where she was examined by veterinarians. And it was there when they learned Mia was going to be a mother for the first time. They understood it would be a race against time to get Mia back to health so she could care for her puppies.

Mia’s injuries included a fractured foot as well as a crushed and dislocated ankle, so her recuperation was not going to be simple. Her injuries needed surgery to correct.

Mia pulled through with the help of her surgeon, just in time for the birth of her pups.

The mother dog recovered quickly and was able to utilize both front legs. We’re relieved to learn that this small family’s story has a happy conclusion.
