According to ilovemydogsomuch, a dog named Motery was discovered alone with her lips taped shut.
A shoelace was also used to bind her hind legs together. Kind people were devastated when they eventually discovered Motery. How could somebody treat an animal that badly? It is simply unimaginable.
Motery (affectionately known as Mo) is a victim. She is not just a victim of animal brutality and maltreatment, but also of the illegal dog meat trade. Even though dog meat farms are prohibited in Bali, they continue to operate. Mo’s rescuers believe she evaded slaughter by leaping off a moving truck headed towards the farm. She’d been travelling alone since then.
It’s a marvel she’s still alive with her rear legs shackled and her mouth shut. Mo was taken to a nearby vet facility by her rescuers in order to get her the attention she requires. Mo was critically emaciated and dehydrated due to his inability to eat or drink. To restore her strength, she required IV fluids and supplementary nutrients.
Mo is just five months old, according to the vet. She’s only a toddler! She suffered a nasty infection as a result of her lips being shut. Antibiotics have been prescribed for her. Everyone held their breath when it was time to remove the tape from her mouth. They expected her to be terrified. Fortunately, she was given pain medicine as well as light sedation. The dog was an absolute champ!
Mo gained weight in a matter of weeks. She demonstrated her strength to everyone. Even though she had been mistreated, she only had love to give. It was really motivating. To be able to forgive humanity for such unspeakable evil demonstrates how unique she is.
Mo was able to feed on her own for the first time. Despite this, the vet determined that she would require snout surgery. She required skin graphing and reconstructive surgery in order to live as normally as possible. She could eat more easily and even play like a dog should! Mo didn’t simply make it through surgery; she outdid herself!
Mo’s rescuers were concerned that her looks might put off potential adopters. They were also worried that Mo, who had become used to the vet clinic, might struggle to transition to life in a permanent home. Thankfully, once Mo’s story was posted on social media, adoption applications flooded in.
A lovely message was written to Mo’s rescuers by a lovely couple. This undoubtedly elevated their application to the top! The couple was contacted by Mo’s rescuers and asked whether they wanted to meet him. Everyone was jittery. Mo had been through a lot, and while she was lovely, she might be hesitant around strangers.
