This Dying Horse Gained more Then 400 Pounds
|
Benny is a four-year-old stallion. He was famished and on the verge of death. Benny was taken to Last Stop Horse by them. The Last Stop Horse, located in Prentiss, Maine, is a horse sanctuary that offers adoption and rehabilitation services. The sanctuary nurses nursed the horses back to health after they had been mistreated, malnourished, and neglected.

Benny was frail and unable to stand on his own when he arrived to the refuge. He was extremely underweight, weighing just 526 pounds. The personnel at the LSHR just had one aim in mind: to get Benny well again. Even though they knew it was going to be difficult, they refused to give up.

They use a sling suspended from a beam in the barn to help him stand. They also began with modest amounts of food to encourage him to eat. Benny’s hunger and strength became greater with each passing day. After two weeks of assistance, he even stayed on his own.

After six months, Benny had grown over 400 pounds. He was back to his old self as a healthy horse. Knowing his experience, it’s difficult to believe this is the same animal. After nearly dying, he was given a gorgeous, healthy horse. Take a look at this incredible change.
