Nothing is more heartbreaking than witnessing an animal suffer, writes ilovemydogsomuch.
As animal lovers, we are the first to stop and aid in any circumstance, yet many others seem unconcerned. They later named this sad kid Kanzi, who was laying helpless on the ground in the cold rain. He yearned for someone to stop and assist him, but no one did. As hypothermia crept in, Kanzi was on the verge of passing out.
Two compassionate folks passing by were shocked that no one had stepped in to save this puppy! In reality, they believed he had already died and wanted to wrap him in a blanket and bury him properly. They noticed his chest rise and eyes move as they approached closer.
Kanzi was really frail. His eyes were sorrowful, as if he had fully given up. Kanzi felt useless after being neglected for so long, and he looked dejected. He shivered to remain warm as the rain continued to pour. Kanzi required kindness and affection as much as he required a comfortable bed.
While they made calls to the emergency vet, the good folks fetched him a blanket and some food and tried their best to make him comfortable. They indicated that they had discovered a dog in critical condition. The vet advised picking him up cautiously and bringing him in.
Kanzi’s well-being worried the vet right away. His bloodwork was a shambles, and he was covered with ancient wounds. He was suffering from both renal and liver failure. The vet revealed this to his rescuers and offered them the choice of euthanasia. The rescuers asked the vet whether he could give Kanzi pain medication and IV fluids to make him feel better. The veterinarian agreed.
Kanzi’s new human companions are unsure how much longer he has, but they have consented to take him home. They want to show him what it’s like to be loved for an extended period of time. Kanzi is presently residing with the two amazing folks that discovered him. He is tired most of the time, yet he is not in pain. His new parents want to keep him around for as long as they can.
Kanzi is currently being pampered, and we are thankful that he was rescued at all. It’s a shame he went unnoticed for so long since others were too preoccupied with their own lives to notice him.
