The following inspiring story concerns a nine-year-old boy who spends pocket money to feed animals.

Since he was a little child, Ken has had a soft spot in his heart for animals. He began feeding and stroking neighborhood street animals when he started school as a result. Little Ken instantly gave the stray animals his pocket money to feed them. Even to feed the starving animals, he would smuggle food out of his house.

At first, Ken’s parents were concerned about their son’s “shady” behavior. But when they learned more about his noble cause, they decided to provide him all of their support! Ken became even more outraged when he saw the helpless animals’ never-ending suffering.

His heart would break each time a street dog was put down due to common ailments like sores and malnutrition. Ken made the decision to build his own animal shelter rather than staying in the wilderness. In this video, Ken explains how he started “The Happy Animals Club,” his sanctuary, from scratch.
