Lioness Rescued While She Was A Cub, Has A Priceless Bond With Her Caretaker

Do you think animals never forget those who have helped them? Many stories, like this one, amply demonstrate that point.

On the first three years after discovering her, a lioness cub in the arid plains of Botswana was helped by a German conservationist by the name of Valentin Gruener.

She was ready to face certain death and lost all sense of dignity, but instead, she transported her to the Modisa Wildlife Project, where staff members cared for and nursed her.

Fortunately, despite Sirga, the lioness, increasing to weigh more than 140 kg, they are now the best of friends. Even now, when he opens her gate, she leaps into his arms.
