Disheveled Dogs Confided In Each Other After They Were Kicked Out Onto The Street

Two dogs were discovered wandering the streets in terrible condition, and AMA Animal Rescue received a call about them. Rescuers were overcome with emotion when they saw the pets’ images. Both dogs were coated in fleas, had long, terrible nails, and hair that was so matted that you couldn’t even see their faces. The poor puppies were extremely shy because they had never experienced much social interaction. AMA realized they had to assist. A dog should never live outside in such poor condition. Rescuers went to retrieve them, and they were taken right away to the hospital where they would be checked. The two of them were cautious and on contact alert because they were so used to needing to defend themselves outside, rather than being the lively, happy puppies they deserved to be.

The rescue decided to name them Bread and Butter, and they were originally going to have them adopted out together, but soon learned that these two dogs were not as bonded as they once thought. They both also had behavior issues that required an experienced owner, so the rescue was very particular when going through adoption applications.

Bread was the first to go. His prospective adoptive family was well-prepared and had had spoken with a trainer who would be available whenever they needed assistance with Bread. When Bread first saw his new family, he fell in love. Soon after, it was Butter’s time to shine. Butter’s new family drove two hours two different times to meet her and spend time with her. It was truly a perfect match, and Butter immediately bonded with her new forever family.

Since being abandoned outside, both of these dogs have come a long way. They now reside in loving homes where they will finally lead the lives they deserve.
