When a dog named Monster fell from a shrimp boat, his owner thought she was lost for good. However, the courageous dog subsequently returned home by swimming to land.
A shrimp boat captain from San Leon, Texas named Keith “Kiwi” Soffes treasures his dog Monster, who goes with him on his daily excursions out to sea.
However, a recent excursion ended tragically when Monster fell overboard. Even though it was a quiet day and the dog had been on the boat with Keith since she was a puppy, she mysteriously disappeared.
Keith looked in every direction in the hopes of seeing her, but he soon began to feel uneasy. Keith remarked, “I lost the one thing in this world that I genuinely loved.” “I’m heartbroken to the core.”
In the hopes that Monster might appear somewhere, Keith posted the story on social media. On the internet, he received a lot of love and prayers.
However, five days after Monster vanished, he had wonderful news: Monster had survived a dangerous maritime voyage and was alive and well.
Monster reportedly made his getaway by swimming five to six kilometers across Galveston Bay to the coast, according to FOX 26 Houston.
Several days after reaching the coast, the monster was found. Keith was surprised by her account when he heard it.
He told FOX 26: “I said to myself, Man, she couldn’t have done that swim.” That dog was unable to swim that far. After being apart for a number of terrible days, Keith and Monster were relieved to be reunited.
Keith said, “I was crying so hard I couldn’t even speak.” She covered me with kisses.
At home, Monster is now secure. Keith is still worn out by the emotional excursion, but Monster doesn’t seem affected by her long travel.
Along with a picture showing the dog comfortably dozing, Keith said on Facebook, “She acts as if nothing happened.” She slumbers like a jaybird, happily. I think she intended to do it. He said, “Just to get on TV.” But I still adore her, and I’m overjoyed to have my little friend back.

In order to prevent something similar from happening again, Keith also told FOX 26 that on future boat trips, he would equip the dog with a tracking device and a life jacket.
What an amazing accomplishment. Monster reached land without incident and was reunited with her terrified owner. These two are definitely fond of one another and delighted to be back together.
