touched by the reunion of a newborn deer with its mother after being saved from sewage net

People are always happy to hear of an innocent animal being saved from a difficult situation, and this story about a baby deer is no exception. The little creature required assistance to free itself from the sewage grate so that it might rejoin its mother. Thankfully, several kind individuals intervened and assisted the animal. On Facebook, a post about the rescue is gaining popularity.

The share has been published on the North Olmsted Police Department’s Facebook page. While police in North Olmsted, Ohio typically warn locals to avoid baby deer if they come across them, this time there was one that need assistance, according to the post.

According to the post, “Yesterday, the owner of Sittoo’s Restaurant in North Olmsted (excellent cuisine by the way) called to report that he had a fawn locked in a sewer grate behind the shop that wasn’t able to free itself.”

Consequently, a couple officers hurried to rescue the baby and were able to set it free while the mother deer stood nearby. The message concludes, “The mother was quite grateful to be reunited with her tiny one.” Pictures from the rescue operation are included in the full share.
