Wild Duck And Dog Meet Every Night For A Swim And Become Best Friends
|
Although this adorable pup is not interested in hunting, golden retrievers were originally developed to assist hunters in retrieving ducks and other birds after they had shot them. Not at all, in fact. An friendly duck that resides in a pond beside McGee’s house has become his best buddy since he was six years old.

Now, McGee and the duck are together for the majority of the day. In the mornings, Daffy and McGee generously share their meal before taking naps and taking sunbathes together on the lush grass. Or, in the case of Daffy, on McGee’s soft back. Daffy enjoys riding on McGee’s back while the latter is swimming in the pond, in addition to sleeping on top of it.

Every night, Daffy and McGee enjoy a leisurely dip in the pond together. When it’s time to exit the water, Daffy always wants to ride back up the shore on McGee’s back.

Overall, Daffy’s clinginess and need for attention don’t appear to bother McGee. Hastings believes that McGee occasionally becomes irritated by Daffy’s penchant for pecking at him, but McGee is exceedingly patient with Daffy. He obviously enjoys spending time with this hilarious new friend and is happy to have found him.

They are just another example of how pure animal friendships are, and their relationship is incredibly motivating and sweet. (Thanks Thedodo)
