Dog Doesn’t Know Why Her Family Gave Her Up After 7 Years

When a group of dogs from the overcrowded Habersham County Animal Shelter in Georgia visited The Little Guild in West Cornwall, Connecticut, one dog in particular stood out. Georgians all agreed that Jodi was unique. The employees at the shelter had also noted Jodi’s uniqueness.

Jodi was very important to the staff and volunteers at their shelter, according to Kelsey Turick, a worker at The Little Guild. When volunteers learned that we were going to take Jodi in and find her a home, they sobbed.

Jodi, who had spent the previous seven years living with her family, was given to the shelter in Georgia. When she first came to The Little Guild, she was terrified and unaware of what was going on, and the staff members who welcomed her could see she didn’t know where her family had gone.

Jodi, who had spent the previous seven years living with her family, was given to the shelter in Georgia. When she first came to The Little Guild, she was terrified and unaware of what was going on, and the staff members who welcomed her could see she didn’t know where her family had gone. When she first arrived, Turick recalled, “she was quite afraid and just wanted to go home.”

Since then, Jodi has done a much better job of adjusting to her new surroundings and building relationships with staff and volunteers. Her great personality has been able to shine through as a result of her growing trust in her new friends, making everyone fall even more in love with her. She always wants to be around people and has a wonderful attitude, according to Turick. She enjoys playing fetch outside as well as cuddling up with you beneath a blanket. Although she is older, she still has a lot of energy and enjoys taking daily walks. She is a really remarkable young lady and is very important to us.

Given how well Jodi would get along with practically any family, it’s surprising that she hasn’t been adopted yet. She enjoys spending time with family members whenever she can and loves kids, cats, and other dogs. Her wait for a home should soon be over because she has received some adoption interest and has a family scheduled to meet her. The arrival of the right family for Jodi is anxiously anticipated by all of her friends in Georgia and Connecticut.
