Dog Dumped at Curbside After Family Moves Needs a Loving Forever Family

A friend of Boo’s placed him out on the curb with the trash that his humans left behind when they moved. He appeared almost to be guarding the items just in case his humans returned, so he was lying on them just lying on them. In her Facebook post, Liz Marie describes how heartbroken she was just at the sight of Boo lying with the trash at the curb. Her Facebook post describes how upset she was upon seeing him lying with the trash.

Devin Oliver, founder of Detroit Youth and Dog Rescue, became aware of her post and decided to obtain Boo immediately. However, it wasn’t an easy task. Oliver spent several days building trust with Boo before he could be rescued. The work was extremely hard, but it is just what Oliver does.

 Boo was eventually taken to a veterinarian, and despite being very hungry, thirsty, and understandably depressed, Boo was in good health. Rather than having a physical address, the entire rescue program is run through fosters.

Oliver’s team has rescued and rehomed approximately 75 dogs since 2014. Despite the attention Boo has received on social media, no one has yet stepped forward. If you are interested in adopting Boo, please click here to go to the rescue’s website.
