The four-month-old Sutton and Dom instantly fell in love the moment they met on September 19.
The pair have taken to giving each other kisses, grooming each other, taking naps together, eating together and going for strolls near their home in Hexham, Northumberland.
With her husband Mark Bone, 40, Emma Bone owns the licensed show kennel Newfangled Newfoundlands, which has eight Newfoundlands. It was Dom who had a connection with Sutton more instantly than any of the other dogs.
Sutton’s perspective on Dom isn’t entirely clear. It’s not quite clear if he thinks he’s a horse or a dog.
When I go outside to see Sutton, he runs back and forth asking me to take him to see his buddy, which makes Dom beyond excited.
‘You can tell Sutton gets excited when he sees Dom coming too.’
Even going on lead walks together is one of their favorite things to do.
The mum-of-three said: ‘It has been amazing, and it makes my heart so happy to see them together.’
The little guy ‘only has eyes for his buddy Dom’, so there must be something special about Dom, at least in Sutton’s opinion.
Emma described the event as ‘completely extraordinary’. The bond between the two of them is sure to grow and strengthen over time.
Despite wanting a pony, we have acquired another pony-sized dog instead.
