Dog in shelter for 270 days ‘jumps for joy’ when someone finally notices him
|Despite being domesticated, dogs still need a pack, even if it’s a human family. That’s why adopting a dog is always a special experience.

When a dog from the shelter is adopted, it is truly heartwarming. Even more exciting is the adoption of a dog that has been at the shelter for a long period of time before being adopted. Paco is a Pitbull breed adult dog that has been at this shelter for 270 days. Nobody wanted him because he was an adult dog.
No one until this couple.

On this day, Paco’s forever family came to take him home after 270 days of waiting.
He had no idea what was happening at first since he had just noticed the shelter employees and his new father approaching his house. Paco couldn’t stop bouncing when his new father arrived to pick him up.
When his new dad grabbed for him through the rails, he realized he was headed to his forever home.

As excited as he was, he couldn’t hold back his excitement. It was the day he had been waiting for! They tried to convince him to stand still, but who could blame him? He was about to move in with his permanent family!
He won’t be alone any longer. Paco will live with a family who has pledged to love him every day for the rest of their life.

There are so many myths and misconceptions about Pitbull breeds that they are almost impossible to adopt, so it is difficult for Pitbulls to live at a shelter. Paco is one example of how humans who understand and appreciate Pitbull breeds seek out these dogs to provide them with a lasting home.

Paco’s new life began when he and his new family left the shelter. And they have done nothing but love and care for him since then, even during the stressful and worrying days.
The assumption is that everything is perfect when an animal is adopted by a permanent family.
Social media does not reveal many things. An animal adjusts to their new home during an adjustment phase. They suffer from illness from time to time. They also destroy their family’s home on occasion. But they choose to be loved and cared for by their new family through both good and bad times.
Below is a video that shows Paco’s reaction when his father visited him on the day of his adoption.
