HORSES RUN OVER HIGHWAY DELIVERING A RARE SIGHT

We may have observed several horses running in close proximity, but we may not have witnessed hundreds of them stampede over a roadway. The sentiments evoked by this uncommon sight are exceptional. It is difficult to describe and put into words the sensation of hearing and feeling the earth shake as the horses pass.

Hundreds of horses can be seen rushing and trotting down the roadway in what is known as the Sombrero Horse Drive in this amazing and breathtaking spectacle. This horse drive takes place every year in Colorado and has been a custom passed down from parent to child for almost 40 years. Every spring, 700 horses are transported around 60 kilometers to pasture.

Riders from all over the nation are free to participate, provide a hand, and experience this spectacular rush at the same time. To witness this breathtaking horse drive in person would be incredible.
