Malamute And Duck Become Best Friends And Warm Hearts Everywhere
|This unlikely pair lives in Strout, Minnesota with their owners, the Rileys, in a small town with only 25 people.

The Riley family brought home some newborn ducklings shortly after Max the malamute lost his husky friend, Sasha.
In a cage, Max encountered a duckling named Quackers, who had lost some friends of his own. Max sat close to Quackers’ pen, and there was soon a special bond between the two.
Eventually, the Riley’s let the pair meet snout-to-beak, and the pair have never gone their separate ways.
“Everything is shared,” explains Kristen Riley, “from eating to drinking to walking down the street. Everything is done together.”
Visiting a local park, and following each other around their house, they sit in a patch of grass along a country road, appearing to greet passersby. They sleep together at night and greet each other in the morning.

It is a privilege to catch a glimpse of Max and Quackers or to take their picture, and their smiles bring smiles to many people.
