Rescuer finds what a dog is hiding after he reaches his hand out to help

For Petunia, life on the streets of Los Angeles was challenging. She was helpless, terrified, and perplexed. Nobody was aware of her origins or the duration of her homelessness. They did, however, agree that she needed to be preserved. Hope for Paws, headquartered in Los Angeles, decided they had to assist when they learnt about Petunia.
Animals like Petunia that are abandoned and lost on the streets are helped by the group Hope for Paws. Nevertheless, Petunia was unaware that the rescuers were attempting to assist her, so as soon as they came, she ducked beneath a truck to hide.
Eldad Hagar, the creator of Hope for Paws, was taking Petunia with him. He grabbed the dog by the leg as he reached underneath the truck. Most animal rescue professionals would undoubtedly advise against ever touching a stray dog, but Hagar’s extensive background in the field convinced him that it was safe to do so.

Hagar quickly realized why Petunia was so nervous — she was lactating! This was a big indication that she probably had puppies somewhere nearby. Hagar and his team had to act fast – the puppies would not last long without their mother.

It didn’t take long for the rescuers to find Petals, Petunia’s baby.

Even though Petunia had a little ear infection, she was otherwise in good condition. Petals opened her eyes just days after being rescued and was equally healthy. In the end, the two were adopted jointly.
