She had arthritis, which grew progressively worse over time. When she was 18 years old, her owner chose to put her to death before her winter arrived after learning that she had suffered a great deal and was unable to endure another winter.

After making the decision to transport her to the fields, they quickly realized that it would be better for the audience to say their final farewell to their cherished friends and understand that she was no longer with them.
