Cop ditches socks and shoes to rescue terrified dog hidden in dark tunnel.(VIDEO)

The tiny puppy fled beneath the canal channel after being startled by a car and got stuck in the pitch-black tunnel. She was unable to move until a police officer came to assist her.

Officer Joe Brazil, who is constantly willing to assist, didn’t hesitate to save a vulnerable puppy.

Peggy Edwards shared her story on Facebook on May 2, 2016, where it swiftly garnered attention. The narrative was so emotional that we were all affected by it.

Joe, a police officer from Woonsocket, Rhode Island, was important to her story. A lovely but frightened Yorkshire terrier puppy was scared away by an automobile, which is how everything started.

The dog then bolted and into a tunnel.

Peggy began posting about her experience on Facebook, writing, “On April 30, a small puppy was running about unattended when a passing automobile startled it. It ran into a culvert that a nearby brook travels through.” She was stuck around 20 to 25 feet below the surface and clinging to the ledge.

Despite her instincts instructing her to save the tiny dog, she was hesitant to do so.

That’s when she had an idea, but she was afraid she’d scare the poor dog, making it retreat deeper into the tunnel.

She called the Woonsocket Police Department right away, and she received help.

A short while later, Officer Joe Brazil showed up and was eager to help

After the policeman was found, WJAR NBC10 acquired the following statement from the department: “As I came closer, I could see Cece just clinging to the side and just trembling.

As I came closer, I could see Cece just clinging to the side and just trembling.
The Officer took extra care not to scare the little dog further down the tunnel given how terrified she was.
The next thing he did was astounding!
Once he was close enough to the terrified dog, he let Cece follow his fingers a little further into the tunnel, and then he lifted her up!

OFFICER said to WJAR NBC10, “She appeared to be aware that I was there to assist. She appeared to be thanking you, nearly.”

The cute puppy seemed to be immensely grateful for the gorgeous cop who saved her, as seen in the photo.

Cece was the name of this adorable dog, according to another interview with WJAR NBC10. After all, this dog wasn’t a stray after all; she came from a lovely household.

Michelle Perez, Cece’s owner, was thrilled that her dog had been located; according to her story, her mother-in-law had given her the adorable puppy, but the next day it escaped!

She is only five months old, Perez said in an interview. “I couldn’t sleep.

Thanks to Peggy Edwards and the kind Officer Joe Brazil, Cece was saved from the terrifying tunnel and reunited with her owner. We are all relieved that Cece was saved and returned to her human!
