Dog Rescued Just In Time After Being Nailed To Railroad Track, Finds a New Home

They are a well-liked draw for ecotourism locations in the North Pacific
A “miracle on the tracks” occurred in San Antonio when an officer freed a dog from railroad tracks as a train approached.

According to a Facebook post by City of San Antonio Animal Care Services, Lucky was found after Animal Care Officer David Edwards responded to an urgent call about a dog tied to an active railroad track and unable to free himself.

Using a humane catch pole, Edwards was able to gain the dog’s trust and move quickly to get the dog to safety. Before they could make it back to the animal transport vehicle, a train zoomed past,” ACS said.

Lucky’s leash may have became snagged on a nail as he went past or he may have been restrained, according to the rescue, but they are “beyond grateful” to those who reported his plight.

After some time to settle in, Lucky has grown significantly more at ease around humans and is prepared for his forever home.
