It was a wet day when I first noticed Rocky sleeping by the side of the road. He was always suspicious and worried because he had never been taken care of before. My heart sank as I thought he was dead, but suddenly he stood up and looked at me with a bewildered expression. I approached him slowly, and he seemed to want to say something to me.

He appeared intelligent, but as I drew nearer, I saw that he was quite frightened and wary of me. Rocky has obviously been residing on the streets for a considerable amount of time. He was distressed and tense, and it was obvious that he had never been fed well or cared for. In spite of his challenging situation, he was a warrior who wanted to survive.
