A Skinny And Mistreated Horse Rescued From An Auction Has Miraculously Transformed In Two Months

A daughter and her father went to a horse sale, and while there, the girl witnessed two other males picking on Bubby and then kicking and bitting him. All of the horses were in poor condition because the auction was known for shipping horses to slaughter. Despite being in superior condition to the other horses, Bubby was terrified of people, especially men. He had severe respiratory illnesses, as well as bruises and scars all over his body.

He started eating hay when they put him in the trailer, and when they brought him home, he drank a lot of water since he was so thirsty. He warmed quickly to his new owners and felt secure in their presence.

They picked him above the other horses because they could tell from his appearance that he was young and because he was the only one there without any external bones. Bubby’s injuries started to heal quickly, and he felt more at ease among people. If anyone tried to touch him, he would bite them back because he had a bad habit of biting people.

He didn’t like having his ears touched while they were teaching him to halter, so they simply rubbed the halter all over his head until he got used to it. The girl worked with him on the lead line once he was at ease wearing the halter, and she later showed him how to tie a knot. After two weeks, she cut off his huge dreadlocks.

For the first month and a half, they only focused on raising his front feet because he would become aggressive if she touched his back feet. He picked up the various gait cues and how to lunge quite fast. She began working with him from both angles, initially lunging without a halter then removing it.
