He Was Sad, Scared After Long Days of Unhappiness
A dog named Isumu has never known love. He had been left to fend for himself by the side of the road, not far from a shelter.
His nails were excessively long, and he was in excruciating discomfort with every step. He had a large, bloody bandage wrapped around his neck from the shackles that had formerly held him in place. He smelled strangely of rotten flesh and had rabies lesions all over his body.
Isumu still had some life in his eyes and the capacity to feel fear, humility, and hope despite all of his suffering. He begged God to intervene and stop his suffering.
He was discovered by a shelter volunteer. He brought Isumu to the shelter where he was given medical attention and a cozy bed. Isumu is cleaned up and given a bath. For the first time in a very long time, he was given love and care in addition to being fed and given water.
On day 10, Isumu started to feel better. He started to grow new fur, and his wounds started to heal. His body odor disappeared, and his eyes began to sparkle with joy.
Day 80: The shelter at last agreed to let a committed family who wanted to adopt a dog in. They fell in love the moment they laid eyes on Isumu.
They could feel the guts and perseverance that lurked underneath his tough exterior, and they knew he was the right dog for them. Isumu’s family showered him with affection and welcomed him into his new home.
He no longer had to endure his suffering in quiet or wait for assistance. Finally, he had a gorgeous family and his own home.
