Deputy Comes Back To Town To Meet The Blind Rescue Pit Bull He Had Befriended
|
Deputy Trevor Reeves became good friends with a Pit Pull named Stevie Wonder when the dog was still living in the shelter. Stevie was spending hours being cared for by Deputy Reeves as he lost his sight as a result of a degenerative eye condition. The deputy was relieved to read that once Stevie was adopted by a lovely family, his issues had been overcome.

Years later, Deputy Reeves received the most horrible news while serving in a different city: Stevie had been viciously attacked by multiple dogs. His family opted to give him away since they were in such emotional anguish following the incident. At that time, Deputy Reeves begged a reliable acquaintance to look after Stevie.

In this video, we see Deputy Reeves come in town after seeing Stevie after Stevie survived the assault. Even though Stevie is unsure if the blind dog still recognizes him, he senses the presence of his old friend and hurries over to give him a hug. Holding Stevie’s wounded corpse near to his broken heart, Deputy Reeves is crying hysterically.
Deputy Reeves’ eyes fill with pain later in the video as he fervently recounts what Stevie means to him. Despite the uncertain nature of Stevie’s voyage, he is at last in capable hands. He is recovering well in his foster home, and Deputy Reeves will continue to keep an eye on him to make sure he has a happy life. What a special loving bond!
