Foal Born With It’s Own White Shadow

Wendy Bulmer purchased a mare without realizing she was expecting, so when the foal was born, she received a bonus stallion. Bulmer then saw that the infant had peculiar patterns, including a white patch running down his left flank that strikingly resembled a horse.

The stunning equine was given the name Da Vinci for his artistic markings, which include a white heart-shaped patch on his rump, and was born at the Flying Hall riding school in North Yorkshire, England. The Bulmer family adores and is friends with the odd creature. Due to the marking’s perfect design, at first it seems to be an optical illusion. The flawless white shadow genuinely resembles a little horse riding next to the chestnut foal.
