Rare white lion shows off his majestic mane in breathtaking photos

The six-year-old lion was captured on camera by British photographer Simon Needham, who claimed to have been astounded by Moya’s appearance upon first seeing him.

I adore animals, but the first time I saw Moya’s gorgeous coat, I was blown away,’ he admitted.

It was challenging to get near to him, but I did manage to capture some excellent images of him as he wandered his area over a few brief seconds.

The magnificent animal at South Africa’s Glen Garriff Conservation lion reserve has the thickest hair.

“You don’t really get a chance to appreciate the beauty of it all when you are in the moment, but obviously, afterwards, I realized what lovely pictures we had.”

There are a number of white lions at the preserve, but they are uncommon in the wild since the color is the consequence of a genetic mutation that requires two copies of the gene to manifest in the animal.

Simon is a skilled filmmaker and photographer who sells his work and donates 50% of the proceeds to environmental causes.

He expressed his happiness, saying, “I’m really happy that we can shed some light on this subject and at the same time bring support to GG Conservation.”

We’ve never seen a lion that stunning. It’s hard to fathom how cute Moya was as a cub.
