Pair Of Identical Twin Shire Horse Foals Born
|
Meet the mare Penlan Ceri Rose. She was examined and only revealed one foal, so it was a huge astonishment when they discovered she was expecting two foals. Twin foals are uncommon, but identical twins are even more uncommon. Both of the foals, who were given the names Penbryn Celtic Lucky Lass and Penbryn Celtic Lucky Lady, were healthy and content when they were born, and Penlan Ceri Rose is proving to be an excellent mother.

The shire horse of the year and father of the foals is Ddrydwy Ploughman, seen below.

We can’t wait to see these two gorgeous foals mature; I have no doubt that they’ll become exceptional shire horse specimens like their sire and dam.
